LO with hand made embellishment - another craft class

In March, I am going go have a craft class at "Ski treffet". This time, I am going to teach how to make hand made embellishment. This includes making different flowers, "miniature jars" and miniature frames.

I have added some of the embellishment to an LO, just to show how they can be used. The only embellishment which is not handmade here, are the leaves. I took the photos just before last Christmas on the beach in Broome, in Western Australia. The background paper is "Juledrømmer - ventetid" from Poppydesign. The bricks have been added by using a home made stencil and "Snow Paint" from Panduro.

A challenge from Hobbykunst

I got a metal packaging suitcase/box from Connie at Hobbykunst in Vestby. She wanted me to make something for the shop from the box. So I had a go and here is the result:

The idea for the box came from the paper; Graphic 45 paper, Olde curiosity shoppe

Inside the suitcase/box, I have made a shelf from cardboard - with a draw. On the shelfs, I have placed smal jars with pearls (label: Pearls of wisdom) and glass beads (label: Pixie dust). I have also places a shell, which hat and a broom. Behind the broom - there is a bulb from an old sewing machine. I have also placed a bibbon holder from an old sewing machine. The two bottom jars are filled with black paint (label: squid ink) and silver glitter (label: Wich Hazel)

the box is from Maya Road, and is just the packaging from some chipboard letters.

Showing the front and back of the suitcase.

A Mixed Media sign for the craft room - a craft class

Last weekend, I went Gol to arrange a scrapbook/papercraft event. One of the classes I gave was Mixed Media. This was an introduction to Mixed Media, and we made sign for our craft rooms.

This is my result from the class. Everyone had to find something that described them. I have used things from a dismantled sewingmachine  sewing thread, shells from Australia, old flowers and some embellishment. All in a shabby chic style. The brick pattern - is a home made stencil and Snow paint from Panduro. Most of the items have had a stroke of white Gesso. The tag has the text: "I am creative - you can`t expect me to be neat too"

Steampunk - DT Kort O Mania

I have made a challenge for myself with this tag. First, I am quite new to dilution sprays and creating backgrounds. This background is made with blue and blue and brown dilution spray and mists of water. I have also used homemade stencils. The stencils have been drawn in Silhouette studio, and cut on overhead sheets. The card has then been stamped with two different text stamps. The background has also got some Perfect Pearls in places.

The raised pattern on the left side, has been made by using a stencil and adding Gesso over it. The stencil has been removed and the Gesso has dried. After that the raised Gesso has been painted with black and cobber paint. Some metal embellishment has been added to the top to create an effect.

The girl is a digital stamp from Kenny K. The stamp has been coloured with promarkers
