Mixed media Christmas card

This is a Christmas card created with the "Holly Jolly" collection from Kaisercraft.

The background for this card was made with one of the embossed papers from the paper pad. Spraying parts of the paper with Kaisermists, creates fantastic effects. The background papers takes the colour, while the embossed parts of the paper stays white and glossy. This makes the embossed pattern pop out.

Kaisercraft materials:  PP981 Paper Pad | CT840 Collectables | Pearls: SB794 Snow | Kaisermist: KM105 Turquoise |CD101 Coconut Weave cadstock.

Butterfly card with dies

We are showing cards with the butterfly die (DD544 '3) and stamp set (CS241)  in Kaisercraft's blog today

I made a simple card, using the die "Decorative Doilies DD504".

The butterfly has been created by stamping on acetate and using the die to cut it out. I have used a diecut created with the die, under the acetate butterfly.

The card has space for a message under the card.

A rustic mixed media layout

Today, we are showing rustic layout with the Ma Cherie collection in Kaisercraft's blog.

I decided to use one of my "art" photos, taken in England, with roses against a stone wall.

Text stamps and gesso has been used on the background. I have also used white ink on the flowers.

I have used lots of flowers from the collectables (CT841), but fussy cutted the white edge around them away. I have also used corrugated cardboard (recycled package material) among the papers.

Mixed media Christmas cards

The Holly Jolly collection is a nice Christmas collection. I decided to create some mixed media Christmas cards with this collection. These cards are also features on Kaisercraft's blog.

The first three cards are made with Craft cardstock. I divided the cardstock in three, 4 inches strips. Each strip was scored on 6 insches. This makes it possible to get 3 cards out of on sheet of 12x12 bazzill.  All the cards where stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. I used the same backcground on all three cards.

On this card, I used layers of paper and collectables. I also doodled on the background with a white and a black pen.

On this card, I used some of the stripes of paper from the Paper Pad and some of the trees from the collectables. The tect is from the paper P1945 Cherry.

This card is similar to the first card, with layers of collectables.

Kaisercraft materials:  Papers P1945 Cherry | Paper Pad PP981  | CT840 Collectables | CS240 Clear Stamps  | Pearls: SB785 Lavender and SB794 Snow | Ink Pad IP726 Island.
Other: White Embossing Powder, Lace heart, Black pen and white pen

Altered mixed media lamp

Today I am showing one of my altered items in my October blogpost for Kaisercraft. Fairy dust is a lovely collection filled with butterflies and fairies in soft green, blue and purple colours. I decided to alter a lamp, and create a small fairy theme inside the lamp. The lamp was bought at RUSTA.

The little lamp inside the lantern is my own design. It is made after an idea from a Japanese lamp.

I have used different lace and metal, flowers rhinestones and pears. I have added paint and mists to create the colour effects.

There is a small electrical tealight inside the lamp. The fairies and butterflies are fussy cutted from one of the papers in the paper pad.

Kaisercraft materials:  Papers: P1967 Pixie and P1970 Whispers | PP983 Paper Pad | CT842 Collectables  | Mini Paper Blooms: F660 Amethyst  | Paper Blooms: F643 Amethyst  | Kaisermists KM102 Antique Gold.

Other: Acetate (to make a stand for the butterflies and the fairies), Vellum (for the windows in the lamp), paints and metal.
