Tiny Art

I got inspired by several artists to create "Tiny art", and these were published in The Papercrafting in the beginning of April. This was to show, that you can create a lot of cute art pieces, just by using old craft stash you have lying around in craft supplies.

All the small art pieces are different, and created with old bits and pices from my craft supply. They have been made on a set of chip board pieces. I used texts from Tim Holtz to fit each art piece. Some of the pieces has been created in clay with a moulds from Prima and other brands.I also used small beads, half beads. All the tags were sprayed white before I used green and gold 13 arts sprays and white gesso.

With brave wings she flies

The face, is something I got in a craft swap with a friend many years ago. The wings has been created with clay from one of Primas moulds.

Have an open heart

At the base, I glued on lace from Kaisercraft and microbeads. Then I added some string around the piece. I added a heart and a key, beads and charms.

Great things take time

Here, I used two pocket watches in thick card board. I added microbeads, cork, wooden heart and a wooden number from Tim Holtz. After painting and sprayng, I added beads inside the watch on the top.

Use your wings

At the base, I used lace from Kaisercraft and an old zip. The frame has been moulded from clay. The angel was originaly on a small clothes peg, but removed and added to the project. I added beads inside the frame after painting ad spraying.

Remember to play

This item is a "lift" of one of Finnabair's famous projects. I used an old zip, lace from Kaisercraft and microbeads at the base. I also added string before i spraypainted the tag. I added a small spoon at the top, and added beads after painting the tag.

Happy crafting.

Gift box with cards

Today, I am showing an oval gift box with five cards. You can find the tutorial for the box further down in the blogpost.

I used the new Sweet Pea paper pad for this project.

The handle has been made with the small banner die from Fancy Rectangles & Layers die set. The little bow has been made with a sweet bow die from the Happy days die set.

The cards

There is five cards in the box. Two are very similar, so I have only added photos of one of those cards. The cards has been made with the small oval die from the Woodland Foliage Frames die set. The images are from the Safari stamp and die collection. The pink circle has been made with Happy days die set, while the white circle has been made with a die from the Fancy circle die set.  The nuts and leaves has been made with the super sweet leave and nut dies from Woodland Foliage Frames die set. The tags have been made with the Fancy Rectangles & Layers die set. I have added a heart on the back of all the cards, created with the heart die from the Lovelette die set.

Oval box tutorial

The box has been created as the main box with a lid. The box has been created in white cardstock, and decorated on all sides with patterned paper.

Cut out two ovals, using the large oval die from the Woodland Foliage Frames die set. Also cut out two strips of cardstock to create the sides of the box. I used two bits, since the cardstock would not reach all the way around the box. The two pieces were mounted together to create  longer strip of cardboard. The strip is 7,5 cm tall, scored and cut after 2cm. The 7,5 cm side created the side of the box, and the 2cm strip will be glued under the box.

Fold along the scored line on the paper strip, and cut small lines vertically up the 2cm strip on the rectangle, creating the side of the box. This has to be done to be able to fold and glue the side to the oval. Cut of 3-4 mm of the edge of one of the ovals. This oval has to be  bit smaller because it will be glued inside the box. The other oval (the larger one), will be glued under the box at a later stage.

Glue the side of the box to the smaller oval. Make sure the oval is on the inside of the box.

Glue the larger oval to the bottom of the box. You have now created the box.

The lid for the box, has been created in the same way as the box. The lid has to be 3-4 mm larger than the box to be able to fit over the box. The side of the lid is 2cm, scored line and another 2cm
used to glue the side to the oval.

Cut of about 2mm of the side of one of the ovals, used on the inside of the lid. Cut vertically strips along the glue line on the side of the lid.

Glue the side of the lid to the box, gluing the smaller oval inside the box, and the larger oval outside the box.

The box is ready to be decorated.

Have a marvelous day

Today, I am showing you a super simple CAS card.

The tree on the front has been created using the tree die from the Puppy Love die and stamp set. The white cardstock has been mounted on 3D foam tape to create dimention and making the tree pop out from the green bckground paper.

The green dotty background paper is from the Pretty Perfect paper pad, and created a soft background colour on the card.

The little dog on the back is a stamp from the Puppy love stamp and die cut set. I just love the dies that come with this stamp set. It makes it so easy to cut around the stamps.
