A minialbum with mixed media and a pop-up camera

It is not often I make something to order, but this is one of those things. The minialbum has been created using mostly papers from Kaisercraft and flowers from Prima. The papers are from three different collections, Time Machine, Generations and one of the base coat paper pads.

On the front of the album, I have used flowers and leaves from Prima. I must admit - I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to Prima and Kaisercraft stuff. Some of the Prima flowers are from old collection, that I have had for a while. I am happy to see that some of the flowers are now being sold again.

I have used one of Tim Holtz stencils and gesso on the background, together with washi tape.

The flowers at the right, are now being sold again.

The album itself is simply decorated. Only the first and the last page is decorated. On the other pages, I have added panels and some diecuts at the edges. I have left it simple, for the recipient to be able to ad her own photos.

The first page has been decorated in a mixed media style. The photo has been covered, as I didn't want to publish the photo of the recipient.

A lot of the pages has different flips, and opens up. The pages closes with magnets.

On some of the pages, I have added pockets with space for tags.

I have used a Tim Holtz edge dies on the end of the tags. A lot of the texts are transparent stickers from Kaisercraft.

In the middle of the album, I have added a tag. The tag is also the gift card, that comes with the album.

The text "Give the ones you love, wings to fly, roots to come back and reasons to stay" is a sticker from Kaisercraft.

The tag at the back, has been designed with a Silhouette.

I often add a pop up at the last page of my albums. This album is no exception. The album is for a photographer, so I wanted to create a vintage pop-up camera.

The idea for the front of the camera (lens part) came from a photo of a card I found online. However, I am not able to find back to the source. I have designed a lot of pop-ups and therefore, It was easy to understand the principal of how to build a basic pop-up camera.

The table and the camera itself is built on "ordinary" pop-up principles.

You can find the tutorial on how I create albums like this, in this blog post.
