A shaker box with template

Here, I have created a shaker box. The shaker is half of an acrylic 6 cm in diameter, ornament from Rayher. You can find a template for the shaker box at the end of the blogpost. This box is fantastic as a special box for a home made present, like the concrete jewelery created with sets from Hobbykunst.

The blue butterfly is a diecut from one of Kaisercraft's older collections. The blue tickets are from Bo Bunny sin Cross Country - Whiteout Glitter. All of this paper is full of blue winter tickets and is now on sale at Hobbykunst.

The little fox is from a paper from Alexandra Renke. The pearls are from an old pearl necklace.

The lid is about 4 mm larger than the box. This is always a good size for the lid for home made boxes.

Template for the box

The lid has two parts. First glue the top part. Add the dome from the under side of the lid. Add pearls or other shaker pieces- Add the motive to the top of the "support for the dome". Glue the support inside the lid. Now you can mount the rest of the box and decorate it.

  1. "Shaker boxes and custom hanging tab boxes are an enduring masterpiece." Their graceful simplicity and exquisite craftsmanship never fail to enchant. I admire how they smoothly mix beauty and functionality, demonstrating the Shaker community's commitment to both form and purpose."
