Catching a dream

Today I am showing you a dream catcher, shown at Creativation for LDRS creative. The dreamcatcher has been created with the fantastic sweet Let love grow stamp set. The dream catcher was made using an embodery hoop.

I used the Cotton candy paper pack for this project.  I just adore this paper pack andd the pastel colours and sweet patterns.

I have used a lot of different LDRS dies on this project.  I used the Lovelette die to create pattern on the background paper and to create the hearts, added in layers under the motive.

I used the sweet Super sprigs dies to create som foliage under the flowers. The leaves has been made using the leaves from the Fancy flowers die set. The roses has been made using the flowers from the same die set.

The motive has been cut out using the sweet Fancy Rectangles & Layers. I think this die set is probeably my most used die set of all the dies I have got. I have also used die cuts from the Regal Die set to create some tags under the image. The word smile is one of LDRS's cretive word dies.

A paper house - shown at Creativation 2018

Today, I am showing you one of my creations for Creativation with brand new products from LDRS - creative.
When I got the new dies for spring 2018 from LDRS - creative, one of the set of dies I got was a window and door die set. I then thought of creating a house. The front garden fence has been created with one of the new die sets, and the number 33 has been created from some of the scraps from the die cut.
Inside the garden, I have used the window die set to create a stencil. I used concrete paste over the hand made stencil to create the impression of concrete slabs on the ground.
The leaves are part of one of the new die sets.

The flowers here, are simple rolled paper flowers. The flowers has been cut, with shaped scissors.
The bricks at the back has been made with the inside of the window die. All the flowers are hand made with the new fancy flower die set.

The door and the windows has been created with the new door and window die set.
This house was created using all the products listed below:
New Versatile Doors and windows Dies set (in stores from March)
- New Country Friends Paper Pad (in stores from March)
New Fancy Flowers die set (in stores from March)
New Sprigs die set (in stores from March)

Christmas ornament

It's the end of November, and most of us have started preparing for Christmas. Christmas can be expensive for a lot of people. I have created a Christmas ornament for the magazine - The papercrafting, perfect for a little Christmas present or just for decorating your own home.

The outside cotten ball has been created using PVA glue from Rayher and crochet thread and adding this around a balloon. There are lots of tutorials on this online. Here is the same idea, used to make a lamp shade.

The pine cones has been hand made from Kraft cardstock. I have used scissors to cut the shapes, but you can also use dies. You can see the same basic way to create them in this video.

The house inside, is my own design. It has been created in Silhouette studio, and cut out with a silhouette. The papers used are from one of Kaisercraft's new collections; Mint Wishes.

Wishing you a good Christmas preparation.

A church in a bell jar

Hobbykunst has got some really sweet building sets with houses and churches. They have also got bell jars in different sizes. The largest bell jar is perfect for  little church. This church was created for the stand at Design by me in i september. Working as a designer, you often work on items a long time in advance. The church is simple to make, and cost about 150Nkr.

The church has been created with a wooden buildin set from Rayher.

The church has been glued together with Liquitex heavy gel and painted with Chalky paints. You can find several chalky paints in Hobbykunst's store. You can also find them as sprays. You can also use the sprays as paint. Just spray the paint onto a palette and paint as normal.

I have also used a small ribbon from Rayher

Enjoy.

Table calendar with the Daydramer collection

Earlier this month, I created a table calendar for Kaisercraft with the Daydreamer collection.

This is quite a simple calendar, created with a base of thick card board. The base has been covered with patterned paper, and the calendar is hanging from book binding rings at the top of the base.

The daydreamer collection comes with a sheet of paper with calendar pages. This is perfect or a table calendar like this.

At the left side, I have added some mixed media. I have added foil to the wooden embellishments:

A mixed media house

Hobbykunst has got some new, sweet wooden houses. These were so sweet, that I had to create something out of one of them. So, here is a small, mixed media house.

The house has been mounted on a wooden spool.

Hobbykunst has got six different houses.

The ladder, has been drawn in Silhouette studio, and cut with a Silhouette. I glued several ladders together to create a thicker.

It has been used old flowers, metal and micro beads, These has been glued on with Liquitex glue.

The house has been decorated, and then sprayed black. After the black paint had dried, the house has been dry painted with gold and chalky paint. This is creating a patina effect.

Altered birdhouse with Kaisercraft's High tea collection

Today, I am showing a spring project with the High Tea collection in Kaisercraft's blog. This is an altered wooden house and a candle stick, I had stored for some time. I have used the blue and white papers from the collection, together with collectables and wooden embellishments.

The bird house, has been covered with paper, and then decorated.

I used a stencil with gesso, to create some texture on the roof. Then I added strips of paper and collectables.

At the front of the house, I have added parts of a wooden embellishment, and layered it with a lace circle from the collectables. The candle stick has got a slight colour wash with light blue chalk paint.

Part of the paper has a "ripped wallpaper effect". I enhanced this effect, with pieces of torn paper.
