A Prima summer card

We have a new challenge over at Scandinavia Paper Fun. This time, we would like to see summer contributions.

I have used papers from the Forever Green collection from Prima. Flowers and embellishments are also from Prima. I have also used Tim Holtz's Dot Fade stencil and acrylic paint to create some effect on the background.

A Mixed Media Altered Wedding shoe

 This shoe is a challenge from a good friend, Helle. She got hold of a pair of new/old shoes to alter (which seems impossible to walk in - and therefore they were unused). I got one of the shoes, and then she is going to do the other.

This shoe is also made as DT submission for Scandinavia paper fun's new challenge - spring.

 The shoe has got a base coat with white paint. Then I added the paper under the zip, and the zip.  After this, I worked on the texture of the shoe itself.

The butterfly is a diecut from an old Prima paper. The key is from Ingvild Bolme - Stamp-N-Add from Prima. The flowers are from Wild Orchid craft. I have also added a pair of wedding rings under the butterfly. I have added a Prima crystal on one of the rings.

The idea for the Zip around the heel, came from a pair of shoes I found in a shoe shop a week ago. The rose paper and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft's Blue Bay collection. The heal of the shoe is covered with glitter from American craft.

The texture of the shoe can be seen on the other side of the shoe. I have dry painted with MetaMica to reveal the texture. 

I have used a leather band, painted with MetaMica, to cover the edge of the shoe.The small roses are Mathia roses from Hobbykunst.

A Prima Birthday paper bag

We have a new challenge over at Scandinavia Paper Fun. This time, the challenge is birthdays.

I have created a small birthday bag with papers from Prima - Prima - Something Blue Collection - Enchanted Blooms. The "Happy Birthday" die cut is a silhouette file. Flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchid.The wooden butterfly is from Prima. I have distressed the edges. I have also used my own number stencil and used gesso to make an effect on the paper. There is also a lot of small metal beads and small metal charms among the flowers.

The "Happy Birthday" die cut is a silhouette file. This box was filled with 9 small punches and given as a small birthday treat for a 5 year old girl - who really wants to start cardmaking.

A butterfly card and a class

We have a new challenge over at Scandinavia paper fun. This time, everything is allowed. 

I am showing one of my cards that I made for a birthday party activity for Hobbykunst in the beginning of the year. 

The stamp is from Bildemålarna, and it has been coloured with Prismacolors. The background paper is from BoBunny: Madeleine - Madeleine. The roses are diecuts from BoBunny: Elegance - Madeleine. The butterflies are from an old cardstock from Poppy design.

A vintage winter basket with template

Scandinavia paper fun has a new challenge going. The task for January is winter.

I designed winter basket, and filled it with sweets. I have used some old winter papers from Poppydesign. This is a simple basket to create, and I have included the template below.

The basket has been wrapped in a clear bag, ready to be given as a small gift.

Instructions: 

Cut along the lines and fold along the dashed lines. Glue the tabs along the bottom half edge of the basket, under the the one next to it. You will see the basket is shaped as a round basket. Glue the tabs on the end under the basket to the other side - to create a complete round basket. Glue the tabs in the bottom of the basket from the inside and fit the small round circle inside the basket, to cover the tabs. Glue the shaped circle to the bottom of the basket to cover the tabs from the outside. Mount the handle. I made the handle out of two strips of paper to reinforce it a bit.

First Christmas card, a pop-up card.

We have a new challenge over at Scandinavia paper fun. I decided to do a simple Christmas card as my DT contribution this time, but with some fun pop-up inside. Last year, I started too late with Christmas cards, So this year I had to start earlier. The aim was also to make a thin card (less than 2 cm), which means no flowers.

The paper is from Maja Design: When the snow is falling - A Gift for You. The image is from Studiolight - Scandinavian Winter, a diecut sheet.

Inside the card, there is a winter scene, and a pop up bench with the family sitting on the bench. The bench is my own design. The background paper is from Maja Design: On Christmas morning - A Gift for You. The santas are cut of the paper Maja Design: Packed by Santas Elves - A Gift for You. The "God jul" (Merry Christmas) dies is from Kaboks.

A masculine card

 We have a new challenge at Scandinavia paper fun. This time, it is masculine cards.

I have used papers from Studio light - Industrial, Industrial photos special and Industrial Photos 1.

I have also used a bit of Mixed Media to create effects. Some of the metal has been coloured with  Triton Acrylic markers. I have also used some cotton, sticking our from under the lock image, and coloured it with distress ink.

The edge of the card has been diesed with a Tim Holtz edge dies. The card locks with a magnet.

The card is decorated inside.

I have used the motives from the cardstock on the back, but added a few electrical features.

Prima Autumn Mixed Media Layout

I have just started on the Design Team for Scandinavia paper fun. This is a Scandinavian challenge blog - with a new challenge every month. This month's challenge is Autumn. 

I have created a Prima Mixed Media Layout. The photo, is one I took in Key West last summer. There was something about the red petals from the Flame tree (Delonix regia), among the roots and stones that caught my eye. 

Papers are from Prima, Stationer's Desk Collection Kit. The stones are made from clay, and painted with different acrylic paints.

I have used dies from Marianne design to create the die cuts. The leaves have been made, using Nellie Snellen Floral Punch and embossing tool (Jumbo - Rose Leaf).  I have added diluted distress paint for effect.

I have also used cheesecloth, coloured with distress ink. I have also used building fiberglass strip tape on the background for effect.

New Scandinavian Challenge Blog with blog candy

There is a new Scandinavian Challenge blog, starting in September: Scandinavian Paper Fun. The challenges is for anyone living in Norway, Sweden or Denmark.
