Prima Christmas box with deers

Here is the third Christmas box, created this December. This time, I have used Prima's new Victorian Christmas papers.

The box is an ordinary hexagonal box. I have made the box from scratch.

The deers are my own design, and have been created from photos I took of some deers i Esters Park in Colorado, a year and a half ago (see photo at the end of the blog post).

The box has been decorated clean and simple inside and outside. The lid has been decorated in a mixed media style.

I have used the deers, flowers from Prima, diecuts from the Vicorian Christmas collection and diecuts with Rayher spring wreath dies.

Double mixed media layout with - My year - My story collection

Kaisercraft's new My Year - My story collection is not "a typical" layout collection. This time Kaisercraft's design team was challenged to create a double layout with the collection. It is about 10 years since I created a double layout last time, but here is my layout.

The layout is a mixed media layout with lots of elements in the background.

I started adding acrylic paint to the bazzill. Then I stamped with white ink onto the black, used white lace, stencils and gesso.

The papers and flowers were added in layers, with thick cardboard between the layers. Then I added the flowers and beads. I have also used a lot of photo overlays to create the black patterns over the patterned paper and over the photo.

Mixed media Kraft bags - part 5

Today, I am showing a four more kraft bags for Hobbykunst. The bags started out as Simple kraft bags, and has been decorated.

The Fox

This kraft bag has been decorated as a fox. I got the idea from a decorated paper bag, that I found online, a while ago. The pappterned paper is from Papirdesign, gave til far. The ears and tale has been glued on behind the bag. The "googly eyes" has got eye lids glued, created with  kraft paper.

Project life bag

I don't really create a lot of Project life pages, but I do have a bit of project life cards. I have uded the project life cards in a different way on this bag.

I have also stamped with a background stamp and used golden star brads. I have also used some Stickers on the background.

Bag with a bow

This bag is simply decorated with a bit of "snow" on the bottom edge of the bag. I have created a triangular tag at the top of the bag. The tag is covered with papers from Papirdesign, gave til far. The paper has been cut to create a bow with paper ribbons.

Graphic 45 bag

The last bag for today, has been decorated with Graphic 45 's collection: come away with me. This is an old scollection, but it is still a wonderful and sweet collection. The lace is from Rayher and the leaves are Mathia leaves.

Glitter house box with Maja design, with template

It is December, and winter is on it's way. In Norway, we have had snow a few days already, although it seems like rain and floods is taking over in Norway at the moment.

A few weeks ago, Hobbykunst had just got the new papers, Home for Christmas, from Maja design. I ended up with a few of the papers, and I ended up with a box with a winter scene on the lid.

I have used the papers FriendsDiecuts and Welcome winter from the Home for Christmas collection

The silver trees are from Søstrene Grene, while the little hardwood tree is hand made.

I have sprayed the roof with sprayglue, and added glitter. This helps to evenly distribute the glue for the glitter on the roof.

The kids and the deers are only about 2cm tall, and are handmade diecuts.

The inside of the box has been covered with Brought you a gift from Maja's Home for Christmas Collection.

Under the tag, I have used wooden chipboard from Wycinanka, from Wild Orchid Craft. I have also used snowflake diecuts, made with a Martha Stewart punch

Christmas ornament with a small winter scene

Hobbykunst has got some fantastic acrylic ornaments from Rayher. I always keep a lot of these, and make at least one before Christmas every year. This acrylic ornament is only 8cm in diameter.

This year I have made a Christmas scene with a small church, trees and a little snow man. The church has a small electrical light inside. I have mounted a small switch under the ornament, so the light can be switched on or of.

The little snowman has been made with to pearls. The hat, scarf and arms are made out of paper.

The trees has been made, gluing square pieces of paper, on the top of each other. I have added white glitter to the paper trees.

The white roses are from Wild Orchid Craft.

The papers used for the church are from Maja design, from the series Nyhavn.

The church also has a small bell in the tower, and the bell rings when you shake the ornament.

I have also added some beads in between the flowers as "snowballs"

All the electrics and the battery is hidden under the church, under the layer of snow. The snoe on the outside is gesso with white glitter.

Friendship shaker and pop-up card, with butterflies

It is December and time for the December card challenge in Kaisercraft' blog.

I have created a shaker card with the Treasured moments collection. I have added butterflies inside the shaker box.

The sketch this time, is a card sketch.

The inside of the card is decorated with a simple version of a pop-up card.

The butterflies and the text have been glued onto acetate, before they were glued into the fold, into the center of the card.

Mixed media kraft bags - part 4

Today, I am showing four new kraft bags, created for Hobbykunst. This time, the simple kraft bags has been decorated as with a Christmas theme.

"Not to be opened before Christmas..." bags

This bag is simply decorated. I have added gesso and spray from white acrylic paint at the edge of the bag. The Christmas ornament is a stamp from North Star Stamps, stamped on black bazzill with white embossing powder. I have used a  Martha Stewart edge punch on the top edge of the bag. To close the bag, I have cut a few lines through the bag (both sides) with a knife. Then I thread a ribbon through the cut lines.

Snow man bag

The circles at the back of the bag has been made with a home made stencil and white distress paint. The image is from Pion - Glistening Season. I used some cheese cloth behind the image. The fir branches are from Rayher's dies: fircone and branch.

Christmas tree bag

The bag has first got a spray with white paint. The trunk of the tree has been made of corrugated cardboard. The tree itself is made with bits of diecuts, created with Rayher's decorated borders dies. The star has been made with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, made with golden paper.

Hug from the heart bag

The chevrongs has been made with my own stencil.  "The white circles" has been made with Rayher's Spring Wreath dies

The fir branches has been made with Rayher's dies: fircone and branch. The Christmas ornament, is made with paper from Papirdesign: julekos

Wishing you a super December.
