On Tuesday the 4.th of November, I am going to hold a class at Hobbykunst in Vestby. The class is in making a Christmas House, perfect as a giftbox filled with a Christmas gift or chocolate. I have made this house a few times, but several people have asked for a class in this house.
The template for the house is my own. Papers are from Hobbykunst. The birds are handmade in clay by Gunn-Eirill.
The stamp is the stamp "Må ikke åpnes" from North Star Stamps
This month Ett trykk has a challenge to
make a candy box after a tutorial, and decorate it. This is my candy box. I
have used left over papers from Maja design (Vintage Spring Basics and Vintage
Autumn Basics), feathers, flowers, pearls as eggs and charms from KortHobby.
The stamp "Hjerteklem" is from Kort og Godt. The bird house is a die
from Marianne design, cut in a Foam Sheet with an added roof.
StampARTic is a online magazine for card makers and scrappers. This is my first Design Team contribution for StampARTic. This is my DT inspiration for their new challenge " Anything goes".
This Mixed Media was made a few weeks ago, when I entered the European Scrap Battle in Mixed Media. I have only been doing Mixed Media for half a year, so I entered just to challenge myself.
The task was to do a project and use one word related to Mixed Media. I had just been emptying two sewing machines, three computers and four clocks for things that could be used in Mixed Media. My husband just looked at it all an thought I was mad. So when I asked him what word he thought fitted with me and Mixed Media - he was rather quick and said: Hoarder, with a smile ;) I could actually see that - and that became my word.
This is made of two small canvases fixed together with hinges. I have used the paper Destination Delight from Prima and made some background effects on the background with gesso, stencils and lace. I made the canvases look like a suitcase on the outside, made paper corners, fixed a drawer handle to one side and an altered paper keyhole (Tim Holts Hardware findings die) to the other side. Inside the suitcase, I have used a lot of flowers, smaller bits from the clocks and computers. I also printed out a photo of a bigshot, RX glue and distress ink pads. The photos of the distress ink pads was glued to keyboard keys, and made perfect small distress ink pads.
This film from You-tube was also part of my inspiration for this project ;)
This card was made a few weeks ago, just haven't had time to post it. For the fourth round of The European Scrap Battle, the challenge was flowers. I made a mixture between a side step card and a pop - up card. The watering can is a made with the same principal as a pop up box. The card is a side step card
Flowers are a mixture of hand made flowers, Prima flowers and Mathia flowers from Hobbykunst. Papers are from Maja Design - vintage autumn basic collection.
The task for the fourth round of the European Scrap Battle was flowers. For me, flowers was quite an easy task, although tough components.
The tutorial and template for the lantern is the same as for the lantern I got published in "Ett trykk" this month, although this lantern has some adjustments. The template for the lantern will be published in mye blog next month The papers are from Majas new autumn collection. All the flowers and clay figures are handmade.
Inside the lantern, I have used a led light.
The clay molds for the bird and the butterfly is from modge podge.
All the flowers and leaves are handmade from left over paper.
