Christmas card with Papirdesign and Rayher dies

It is soon Christmas, and a lot of scrapbookers have started the Christmas card production. Hobbykunst has got a lot of new Rayher dies for sale in the shop. One of the packets of dies, I found, was this super cute snowflake edge dies, and I had to try it. It is two dies in the packet, and I have used it together with paper from Papirdesign and cardstock.

The snowflake part of the dies, have been used on the white cardstock. The wavy part of the dies, have been used with the patterned paper.  

The fir tree and houses, are wooden embellishments from Rayher. 

The card has a fold, under the card, and this makes it steady.

The card can be opened where the ground meets the sky, at the front of the card. magnets holds the vard closed. 

The length of the card is 26cm . This makes it possible to only use one sheet of cardstock.

Simple party ideas for a kids party

Kids do really appreciate handmade things for their birthday parties. Kaisercrafts Party time collection, is perfect for a set of simple craft ideas for kids. Here, I have created a bucket with Pin wheels, decorated a gum machine as a table decoration, and created party favour toppers. The pin wheels are simply made with the new pin wheel dies from Kaisercraft.

Gum ball machine:

The gum ball machine, is a small ordinary gum ball machine, decorated with the papers from the collection and embellished with wooden embellishments and flowers.

Party favour toppers:

The favour bag toppers, are made from cardstock, embossed with the Streamers embossing folder (EF253). The toppers has then been decorated with the paper 100's and 100's (P2198) from the collection and collectables.

Bucket with Pin wheels:

I have also created a bucket with pin wheels. The pin wheels has been created with a die, so they are easy to make. The bucket, is a small white, metal bucket, decorated with papers and flowers.

Watercolouring class with Angie Hunt

A few weeks ago, Hobbykunst had classes with Angie Hunt. Angie, is a well known designer from the US, and owner of  Little Darlings Stamps. This class was in water colouring with distress. 

This card is created as a part of the class, and it's Angie's design. 

The papers are from Kaisercraft's Sea Breeze collection. Dies and stamp are from Little Darlings new collections. Flowers are Hobbykunst's Mathia flowers.

The image has been coloured with distress ink. 

Special day layout

A few weeks ago, I went for a photoshoot in Larvik, a small seaside town in Norway. The lighting was fantastic, and I got some good photos.

Here, I am featuring the Peek A Boo collection. I just love the wooden papers from Kaisercraft. The designers are also featuring the Designer Template Mini Mix (IT921) for this post. I love the idea of 6 smaller templates in one.

I have used ink, stensils and gesso and stamps on the background. I have also added stickers and pieces of paper in layers.

Silent Night - layout for Kaisercraft's November Sketch Challenge

We have a new sketch challenge, over in Kaisercraft's blog. I have created a layout with the fantastic sweet Frosted Collection.

I have dismanteled the frame in the Blizzard Foil and Die cut paper, and used it as a background.

The layout has been created in layers, with 3D foam inbetween the layers. The frame also has a lot of silver in it, so I decided to use pieces of the steel - silver - glittercardstock in the layout.

I have also stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder on the background paper, to coordinate with the silver int the patterned paper.

I have added pine cones, in between  the flowers. The cones are from the collectables and from the patterned paper.

One sheet wonder - 16 cards from one patterned paper

Several foreign crafters, have made a set of cards, using only one sheet of patterned papter. The cards should all be different. You can use many sheets of cardstock and different embellishment, but only one sheet of patterned paper. These cards are often called "One sheet wonder".

I decided to have a go, and created 16 different 10x10 cards, using only one sheet of patterned paper. Choosing a paper with nice pattern on both sides help, for these kind of projects.

Here, I have used Majas new Christmas collection, I wish.
