This is a mxed media layout created with one of Kaisercraft's new collections - Wandering Ivy, together with a large mix of different products; Prima and Mathia flowers, inks, images from Tim Holtz and lots of beads. The layout has been created for Hobbykunst.
Mixed Media projects can often become quite heavy, if you use a lot of scrap metal like I have done here. Therefore, I have mounted the layout on thick canvas cardboard.
The paper Ivy Wall, has been divided in the horisontally in the center. This has been done to make the leaves split the page. The layout has been built from the backround leaves. I used distress oxide and distress ink, together with a sponge and stencil.
All the metal pieces was first painted black. I used pieces from old sewing machines, clocks, sewing machines, old typewriters and buttons. The pieces has then been dry painted with green, gold and copper paint.
I have used Mathia leaves, together with Mathia and Prima flowers. The images of the people are from a packet of vintage images from Tim Holtz. These are brilliant to use for projects like these, where yu don't really want to use your own family photos.
The golden ring, is an old plastic ring. I painted it golden and used som golden foil on it whilte the paint was wet.
The text is a sticker from Kaisercraft. Super cute to use for texts on layouts. The circular beads, are from an old vintage necklace.
Around the layout, I have used beads and bling in green and gold.
