Today, I am showing you one of my Creativation projects.
Have you ever had anyone you wanted to give a present, but you find it difficult as they have almost everything from before? This album is a perfect gift for those occasions. This is a mini album filled with gift tickets, where you can write what you want to give gift tickets for. A trip with the dog, baby sitting or washing the car?
The ice cream and text, has been created with stamps from the stamp set
Sweet Treats, and has been fussy cut.
The little decoration hanging from the side of the book, has been created with
the new Fringe die.
You may want to fill inn the gift cards before you give away the album.
I have also added a little card as the last page of the album.
Tutorial
Find the patterned paper you need. I also created 6 pages of stamped tickets.
Cut two pieces of thick card board 9 x 15 cm and one piece 9 x 5 cm. This will create the book cover.
Glue the two larger pieces pf card board together with strong tape. The smaller piece between the larger pieces. Make sure there is about 0,5 cm space between the card board pieces. Without this extra space, the paper that covers the book will split and you will struggle with opening the book.
Then, cover the outside of the book cover that you have created, with paper. I used Kraft card stock. Later, I put panels with patterned paper on the outside of the book cover.
Add a small piece of patterned paper to cover the back of the the book cover, where you want the pages to stick to the cover. This patterned paper will show behind pages.
Create a strip of white card stock 7 x 25cm. Score after 2 cm, then every 1cm 21 times.
Fold and glue the strip of card stock to the back of the book. You and up with 2 cm on each side, that you can hide behind patterned paper on the inside of the book cover. There is 1 cm between each page. There are two 1cm folds for each page in the book. One fold on each side of the page, to make sure the pages are safely hinged to the book cover.
I stamped the tickets with the ticket from the
Sweet treat stamp set. I used brown ink on Kraft card stock.
So, I hope this inspired you to create a different present.
Wishing you a crafty day :)
