Mixed media Easter egg

As the last Easter egg for this year, I am going to show you an egg inspired by a canvas created by one of Finnabair's designers, Olya Kravets. Finnabair has got some fantastic designers on her team this year, and they are giving us so much inspiration, so we can get ideas to be crafty with her products.  I often follow other designers to learn and study texture, colours and techniques. I am also asking you all to support and follow other designers, follow blogs, you-tube channels and follow them on instagram. Learn, copy to learn, and support other designers (but  give credit, when credit is due) :) 

The base of the egg was a cardboard egg. I started with creating texture for the top of the egg, where the rust effect is. Here, I added gesso with a sponge and added old left overs thick letters and beads. I painted over it black, dark brown and light brown in places, with Finnabair's rust paste. I waited for this layer to dry, before I added the next layer.

The next layer was the blue layer. I added paper tissue a piece of cardtock, with liquitex medium. Then I painted it blue with thinned Finnabair acryllic paint and white gesso. When the paint was dry, I riped a long strip of the card stock, and glued it to the edge of the rust effect. I added some old stars, from some of my first scrapping stash.

Then I added stripes of white card stock to the edge of the blue paper. I added Liguitex thick medium to the edges, to create a smooth edge between the edge of the papers and the edge of the egg. I painted the last part white, and added thinned out silver paint from Finnabair to the edge of the egg. I also added half beads in different sized and painted them in silver.

Fortnite mixed media Easter egg.

I have made a few Easter eggs this year. This Easter egg was Fortnite inspired and created from an acrylic Easter egg from Europris.

First I added cobber leaf to parts of the egg from the outside. I first added liquitex medium to the egg, and then added the cobber leaf on parts of the egg. Then I painted the egg black over the top and let it dry,

After this, I added thin fabric lace, die cuts, micro beads, and different beads to the egg and painted it green, blue and cobber with Finnabair's metalic acrylic paints.

The little skydiver is a Fortnite figure, cut out of black card stock-

The trees, are small bottle brush trees. They have been cut in two. The top part of the trees has been used as Pine trees, and the bottom half of the trees has been used as woodland trees.

In between the trees, I have added charms.

The egg was filled with sweets when I bought it, so I filled the sweets back in the egg, before it was given to a Fortnite gamer.

Easter in pink with Mintay's new collections.

 It's almost Easter, and this is one of this year's Easter eggs.

 

This pink Easter egg has been created with one of Mintay's new collections "dear diary" with a paper with lots of motives that can be fussy cut.(number 09). This die cut paper is full of books, birds and light bulbs and it's super sweet. 

The egg is a normal cardboard Easter egg. I added white embossed cardstock, and added texture paste added over a stencil for texture. Then I added white spray paint. Then I added a mixture of yellow and pink Kaisermist, to get the right pink colour. At the end, I added the pieces of fussy cut paper, added in layers with 3D foam.

En bryllupsgave som lyser opp på gavebordet

Hei igjen dere. I dag viser jeg et prosjekt til bryllup.

Her er det brukt en av Rayher sine biler i tre. Bilen kommer i plater og du bygger den enkelt sammen utifra instruksjoene på pakken. Delene festes med trelim.

Etter at bilen var satt sammen, ble den sprayet i gull. Hjulene og innvendig ble bilen malt med sort akryllmaling. Ratt og seter ble malt med rød akryllmaling.

Gull rundt dekkene er gullark. dieset ut med LDRS sine fancy circle dies set. De beste gratulasjoner er en dies fra Papirdesign.

Oppe i lasteplanet har jeg plassert en liten flaske med sprudlevann, en hjemmelaget brudebukett med hjemmelagde blomster og et lite tag album, hvor gjestene kan skrive en hilsen til brudeparet.

Den lille flasken er satt ned i en liten pyntet pringlesboks for at den skal stå stødig.

Brudebuketten er laget ved å bruke en halv delbar akryllkule på 14 cm. Under kulen har jeg limt fast en rull med kartong med limpistollim. Over kulen har jeg festet masse blonder. Så har jeg festet på hjemmelagde blomster med Liquitex lim.

Den lille øyestikkeren er laget med øyestikkerdies og gullark.

Det lille albumet inneholder en haug av små tagger, hvor gjestene kan skrive en hilsen. 

Dette albumet heter Accordian tag album. Det er enkelt å bygge og skjønne hvordan det er satt sammen utifra et bilde, for de som har bygget litt fra før. Det består av to halve esker som er festet sammen med en tykk papirstrimmel i bunnen. Mellom sidene i boksen er det festet hjemmelagde "åpne konvolutter" som er limt sammen, slik at det minner om et trekkspill, slik at taggene kan settes opp i konvoluttene. Det finnes flere tutorialer på dette på you-tube og du søker opp Accordian tag album. Jeg gir ikke en tutorial på dette albumet her, da det er litt diskusjoner i miljøet på hvem som eier utvidede rettigheter til tutorialen på albumet. 

Her er det brukt hjørnepunch som avrunder hjørnene og hjørnepunch med mønster. Hjørnepunchen med mønster er en gammel Martha stewart punch, men Hobbykunst har fremdeles flere hjørnepuncher inne i butikken..Albumet er dekket av Prima sitt ark: Floral Memories - Cherry Blossom Gold Foiled. 

Håper dette inspirerte litt, til en litt artig bryllupsgave som pynter fint opp på gavebordet.

Wedding album with Reprint's I do collection

It's soon time for the big weeding season in Norway. A fantastic and personal gift for the couple is a home made album, where they can add their own photos. Reprint has got a new collection out -
 "I do", that is perfect for wedding albums. You need two of the packets of the I do collection, or two of each paper. to create an album like this. I have also used silver cardstock and white cardstock.

All the flowers are handmade with Prima collections and Heartfelt dies, stamps and embossing folder. 

The pages in the album

The pages in the album are kept clean and simple. I have used edge dies from Rayher, LDRS -  Waves & Clouds Die Set, and Spellbinders - Spellbinders Die - A2 Scalloped Borders Two. A similar edge dies can also be found from Rayher. All circles has been cut with dies from Fancy circles from LDRS creative. I have also used a pair of edge scissors to create a silver edge around the circles. These scissors are some of my first scrapping stuff, but they are still very much in use.
