A Christmas shelf card with Maja design

Hobbykunst's design team are showing you a Christmas calendar with lots of inspiration this Christmas. Today is my day, and I have used one of my old templates to create a Christmas shelf card. You can find the template for the card in this blogpost.

The card has been made with one of Maja design's old collections - Nyhavn. This collection has a fantasic set of houses, that can be fussycut and used for different projects

The tree in front has been made Winter Birdhouse die set. I have used the branch die, and added several pieces on the top of each other. The snow in the front has been cut out of white foam sheets with glitter

The card has several levels behind each other, that has been mounted on a horizontal piece of cardboard. The houses has been added with 3D foam tape to create more of a 3D effect.

The card will fold together flat, so it can be sent in the post.

Christmas ornament

It's the end of November, and most of us have started preparing for Christmas. Christmas can be expensive for a lot of people. I have created a Christmas ornament for the magazine - The papercrafting, perfect for a little Christmas present or just for decorating your own home.

The outside cotten ball has been created using PVA glue from Rayher and crochet thread and adding this around a balloon. There are lots of tutorials on this online. Here is the same idea, used to make a lamp shade.

The pine cones has been hand made from Kraft cardstock. I have used scissors to cut the shapes, but you can also use dies. You can see the same basic way to create them in this video.

The house inside, is my own design. It has been created in Silhouette studio, and cut out with a silhouette. The papers used are from one of Kaisercraft's new collections; Mint Wishes.

Wishing you a good Christmas preparation.

The North Pole - a Christmas card

This card has been made with LDRS dies and a new Christmas stamps from the Polkadoodles HSN range, Winter land papers and some of the new winter dies.
The card has been made with the the Allifair Build-A-Card Die Set. The  image has been die cut with the Fancy Rectangles & Layers Die Set. This is a die I am using a lot. It's the perfect size for motives on a card. The silver snow boarder has been diesed out with Snowy Day Border Die Set. The holly leaves has been created using dies from the Holly Wreath Circle Die Set.

The papers used here, is from the sweet Christmas paper pad - Winter land.  The stamp is from the new Polkadoodles  Winnie Winterland Stamp set. This is so sweet.

A church in a bell jar

Hobbykunst has got some really sweet building sets with houses and churches. They have also got bell jars in different sizes. The largest bell jar is perfect for  little church. This church was created for the stand at Design by me in i september. Working as a designer, you often work on items a long time in advance. The church is simple to make, and cost about 150Nkr.

The church has been created with a wooden buildin set from Rayher.

The church has been glued together with Liquitex heavy gel and painted with Chalky paints. You can find several chalky paints in Hobbykunst's store. You can also find them as sprays. You can also use the sprays as paint. Just spray the paint onto a palette and paint as normal.

I have also used a small ribbon from Rayher

Enjoy.
